Bio
My name is Henry Halack, and lacrosse has been a defining part of my life. I've been playing since third grade for True IL, and today I'm a sophomore on varsity. As a defender, I've worked hard to develop both the physical and strategic sides of my game, and I'm known for being very vocal on the field and on the sidelines.
I'm the second oldest of five kids, and through my family and the Tri-Ship organization at my school I've learned the importance of giving back and being part of something bigger than myself — lessons that carry straight over to being a good teammate and leader on the field.
CPS Evaluation
Henry is a Class of 2028 defenseman who wins with his head. He reads plays before they develop, takes away the angle rather than chasing the man, and consistently puts himself where the ball is going — the kind of defender who makes a hard job look uncomplicated. At 5'11" and 175 pounds he covers one-on-one with real physicality and stays disciplined through a long matchup, and his feel for team defense shows in how cleanly he slides and recovers.
What separates Henry is his voice. He organizes the defense, communicates every slide and rotation, and sets the tone for the unit. Pair that with all-honors coursework and a clear academic direction toward pre-law, and CPS projects Henry as a high-impact fit at the strong-academic Division III and Division II levels, where he can contribute early and lead a defense. For the right program and the right fit, he has the intelligence and the defensive instincts to compete at the Division I level.
