Goalie · Class of 2029

Jack Selleck

Bio

I'm a 2029 goalie from Lombard, Illinois, and I play for True Lacrosse — for both the True IL 2029 AAA and 29 Black (Boys National) teams. I attend Hersey High School, and I'm chasing the highest level of lacrosse I can reach. To get there, I'm planning to take my game to a prep/boarding school, where I can train and compete against elite players every day and elevate both my high school experience and my development.

I'm all-in on the details that make a college goalie — quickness from save to outlet, positioning, and staying calm and steady in the crease. I train year-round with Goalie Smith, put in weekly strength work, and use yoga to sharpen my reactions and durability. In the classroom I carry a 3.25 GPA and I'm working hard to raise my test scores, with an interest in studying business or finance. My dream is to play Division I lacrosse, and I'm committed to putting in the work — on the field, in the weight room, and in the classroom — to get there.

CPS Evaluation

Jack is a Class of 2029 goalie with the frame, athleticism, and work ethic of a keeper on the rise. His development plan is built around the details that separate college goalies — save-to-outlet quickness, positioning, and stability in the cage — and he backs it with dedicated goalie training, weekly strength work, and yoga to sharpen his reactions and durability.

Off the field, Jack is a solid student (3.25 GPA) attacking his ACT prep and taking a serious, long-view approach to recruiting. He intends to pursue a prep-school path to elevate his high school lacrosse experience and development. He and his family are prioritizing Division I opportunities, with early interest in programs like Ohio State, Jacksonville, and Penn State. CPS projects Jack as a high-upside Division I goalie prospect who will keep rising as his grit, tenacity, and training come together.
