Bio
Hi, I'm Nick Banas. I'm a 2028 from Illinois, and I've been playing competitive lacrosse since age five. As a freshman, I earned a starting spot on the varsity team at Loyola Academy. I'm constantly working to elevate my game, whether it's offseason work in the weight room or 1 on 1s throughout the year with my coach. I thrive on competition, in lacrosse and outside of lacrosse, and take pride in contributing to a winning team culture. I pride myself on being a leader, and have been viewed as such by my teammates and coaches since middle school. Outside of lacrosse, I'm an avid golfer and skier, and the youngest of four in a highly competitive, athletic family.
CPS Evaluation
Nick is a Class of 2028 midfielder who pairs a true Division I frame (6'2") with elite speed — a 4.69 in the 40-yard dash that shows up every time he has the ball. He gets downhill fast off the dodge, and his powerful shot matches that speed, making him a constant threat to score. Just as dangerous as a distributor, he sees the field at a high level and is a threat to feed or shoot on any possession.
What ties it all together is Nick's lacrosse IQ. He's a very smart, high-IQ player who processes the game quickly and plays a disciplined, mistake-free brand of lacrosse. He's also a leader on and off the field, setting the tone with his work ethic and character. CPS projects Nick as a high-level Division I midfield prospect whose blend of size, speed, and IQ translates directly to the next level.
