Bio
My name is Shane Potter, and I'm a Class of 2028 goalie from Baltimore, Maryland. I play for Calvert Hall College High School and compete at the club level with True National White and True MD Premier. In the cage, my game is built on communication and leading the defense, sharp footwork and positioning, and making saves under pressure. What I believe separates me is my resilience — I take pride in changing momentum and staying consistent no matter the situation.
I hold myself to a high standard in the classroom too, with an interest in studying business and finance. My goal is to compete at the college level, and I put in the work every day — on the field and off it — to get there. Thank you for taking the time to review my profile.
CPS Evaluation
Shane is a Class of 2028 goalie who anchors his defense with vocal leadership and a competitor's edge. He organizes the unit in front of him, communicates constantly, and pairs sharp footwork and positioning with the ability to make saves under pressure. What stands out most is his resilience — he thrives on changing momentum and brings a steady, consistent presence in the cage no matter the situation.
Off the field, Shane is a driven student — a 3.47 unweighted GPA on an AP course load — with an interest in business and finance, and he has attacked his recruiting with real initiative. He aspires to play at the Division I level, and CPS is building a target list across Divisions I, II, and III to find the environment where he can compete. With his communication and steady improvement, Shane projects as a college goalie who fits best at a program that values a competitive, coachable leader in the cage.
